Weekly Study

Weekly Study: This year we are listening to the set audio teaching (15 minutes each day or 1 hour each week) by world-renowned Bible teacher Derek Prince. We each study alone, make notes in our journals and meet with our group at the end of the week to discuss what we each gained from the teaching, special insights, and how we can apply these to our daily lives. Also, any questions or thoughts can be raised here.

Weekly meeting guide: a suggested guide for the meeting. Open in prayer and discuss the week’s teaching. Then, share testimonies and needs, encourage each other, and pray for anyone who has prayer needs. Someone should end with a prayer of thanksgiving and a blessing on all.

We encourage members to find like-minded believers to form a weekly study and meet weekly after listening to that week’s teaching. This is a time for discussion and reflection relating to the teaching. This is also a time for fellowship, to share testimonies and needs, and to encourage and pray for each other.

While it is preferable to meet in person, some of our members meet online, and this also works well.

Daily devotions: choose a solid daily devotional reading. Some good online and app devotions include:

4. Daily Bread Devotional for Men (app available);

Ideas for sharing Christ: Look for ways to practice servanthood in your daily life; do some intentional acts of kindness; look for opportunities to speak words that encourage others; share your story (testimony), join an outreach group, soup kitchen, etc.

Giving – If you can’t go yourself, you can give to an established and credible Christian organization or sponsor a needy child or family. Here are a few examples:

Reading Scripture Guide – suggestions for daily Bible readings:

1. Read 1 chapter of one of the 4 Gospels in the morning and 1 chapter of the New Testament in the evening;
2. Read 1 Psalm in the morning and 1 chapter of the New Testament in the evening;
3. Follow a guide to read the Bible in 1 year. Ask Google to help you find one.;
4. Read 1 chapter from OT and 1 chapter from NT each morning and 1 Psalm in the evening.
5. You can design your own Scripture reading schedule.

• When reading the Scriptures, you will gain a better understanding if you read whole chapters and whole books, rather than random verses.

Our Big Prayers – a guide to praying:

1. Prayer for your family and friends
2. Prayer for the persecuted
3. Prayer for those proclaiming Christ
4. Prayer for the church
5. Prayer for the lost to come to Jesus
6. Prayer over cities and nations for a great awakening

Our first group study topic for 2026 will be a 10-week teaching by acclaimed Bible teacher Derek Prince. The title of the teaching is Laying the Foundations and is an excellent study for new Christians and a great refresher course for more mature believers. When this course is finished, we will move onto another, and so forth.

GUIDE: Listen to the teaching (individually) during the week, make notes of any questions, revelations, thoughts, or discussion points. Make a note of how the Lord has spoken to you through the teaching or related scriptures and pray about how you might apply this to your life. Meet with your group on a set evening (e.g. Wednesday or Friday) for a time of sharing, discussion, and prayer for one another.

Some of these teachings are only available on YouTube. We will indicate where each study is available: either App or YouTube so you can easily find the study.
